David Herel

Co-Founder & AI Researcher

David Herel is Co-founder and AI Researcher at BottleCap AI, where he focuses on building the next generation of efficient large language models. His research explores LLM reasoning, model architecture, and techniques that make AI models significantly faster and more efficient to train and deploy. Before co-founding BottleCap AI, David co-founded Hive Spirit Technologies together with Tomas Mikolov, applying language models to algorithmic trading. He also spent time as a visiting researcher at the National University of Singapore, where he continued his research on reasoning in language models. His work has been published at leading AI venues including ICLR, ECAI, Amazon Science, and ALIFE, and he was a finalist in Amazon's Alexa Prize.
